In the morning at the right time, we will take a tourist transportation from your hotel in Cusco to the Ollantaytambo or Poroy train station.
The train trip will take you 3 hours from Cusco or 1:30 hours from the Poroy to the Machu Picchu station or from Ollantaytambo to Machupicchu train station (Aguas Calientes) respectively.
From «Machupicchu Pueblo», From here we will take our bus approximately 25 minutes; that will take us to the city of Machupicchu, and begin our tour for 2:30 Hours by all around the ancient town lead by our professional tour guide.

Travel Tips to Machu Picchu
Inside Machupicchu you can’t find water or buy it. At the door of Machupicchu you will only be able to find water that is too expensive, as well as other things at very high prices; we recommend that you take only what you need.
The weather is changing, so be prepared for intense sun or heavy rain. Bring sunscreen with a very high factor, a hat, rain gear, walking shoes and mosquito repellent. A small umbrella is also useful.
Note that only small luggage is allowed on the train, so pack the essentials and leave the large bags at your hotel in Ollantaytambo or Cusco.
Fun fact: It is possible to get a Machu Picchu stamp in your passport, so ask for it when you leave.

What is the best time to visit Machu Picchu?
The weather in the Andean region is recognized by two seasons: the dry season (from April to October) and the rainy season (November to March). Keep in mind that even though it is rainy season, in one day there may be rain, cloudy sky and even a lot of sun.
Today, travelers from all over the world come to visit Machu Picchu 365 days a year. The months with greater influx of tourists are from April to September. Machu Picchu is in the jungle’s eyebrows, so its climate is warm and humid. Temperatures vary between 8 º and 20 º C. It is advisable to wear clothing for cold and heat.
What to wear to visit Machu Picchu?
Machupicchu is located in the rain forest. That is to say it counts on a warm climate but at the same time humid, reason why the type of dress that we recommend to use it is:
If you travel during the rainy season (November – April), the best option is to wear a raincoat in addition to water and wind resistant clothing.
Even if it’s hot in the morning, always carry a warm coat with you. It may be annoying to have to carry it during the visit, but it is better to be prepared for the afternoon wind.
T-shirts with long sleeve (preferably) to avoid insect bites and / or annoying burns.
Cap and sunglasses. A lightweight, comfortable cap will stay cool. The lenses will allow you to appreciate all the beauty of Machu Picchu without having to strain your eyes.
Blocker and repellent. They are absolutely necessary, especially the repellent since the itching of the bites can ruin your visit. If you think that bugs have a particular taste for you, I would also recommend not wearing short clothing of any kind.
Do not forget to bring water! Staying hydrated with purified or bottled water is the best thing one can do to stay healthy and energetic during the outing.
When to go to Machu Picchu?
The dry season. In Cusco the climate is quite cool throughout the season and quite cold between the months of June and the end of August. However in Machu Picchu the climate is quite subtropical, the days are warm, sometimes cold at night. In the city of Cusco it does not rain during this time, while in Machu Picchu there can be very brief and light rains on any day.
The rainy season. In Cusco it rains a lot between the months of December to March, 2 to 3 times a week, the same happens with Machu Picchu. It is convenient to have a waterproof coat or a rain poncho. Also, dress in layers: light clothes underneath and a little thicker on top, so you will be prepared for any kind of weather.

How to get to Machu Picchu?
There are two different ways to get there: by train or by doing the popular Inca Trail. Below we explain each option in detail:
Machu Picchu by train
Consider that no train leaves directly from Cusco and none returns to Cusco. Therefore, you must board up to two of the following stations:
The station of Poroy, 30 minutes from Cusco.
The station of Ollantaytambo, 2 hours from Cusco.
By choosing which one, you will have two companies:
Peru Rail: This company has varied schedules and offers four types of services: Expedition (economic service), Vistadome, Sacred Valley and Hiram Bingham. It also has two departure and arrival locations shown below.
