WHAT IS THE CUSCO BOLETO TURISTICO?
The Full Cusco Tourist Ticket, the price is S/ 130.00 nuevos soles as US$ 42 and 70 soles aprox. US$ 23 for students (they must show an international ISIC card and be less than 25 years old), this ticket is valid for 10 days and allows entrance to 16 places in Cusco including the popular archaeological sites such as Saqsayhuaman, Qenqo, Pukapukara, Tambomachay, places of the Sacred Valley like Pisaq, Ollantaytambo, Chinchero, Moray, Tipon, Pikillaqta, besides 5 Museums in Cusco and a typical dance theater (Qosqo Center of Native Art), there are daily presentations and they start with the performance at 7:00 p.m. Alternatively, you can buy a partial ticket for 70 soles which allows you to visit only one circuit such as the 4 archaeological sites of Sacsayhuaman, Qenqo, Pucapucara, Tambomachay, if you are not planning to visit the sacred valley or you can also buy the partial Sacred Valley which includes Pisac, Ollantaytambo, Chinchero (Moray) this option is for people who do not have much time.
This partial ticket has no student discount. If any student would like to buy a partial ticket it would cost the same; these tickets are sold at the main office in Cusco located in the first block of Avenida Sol 103 office 102 Tourist Galleries and they are also sold in the same places and can be bought on the day of the visit if you prefer.
Please note that the following are not included in the tourist ticket: Entrance to Koricancha (or Qorikancha) 10 soles and entrance to the cathedral 25 soles (the visit to the cathedral is optional as many people prefer to visit it from 6 to 10 in the morning for free during these hours there are masses; there are also other interesting museums that are not included such as the Inca Museum, Casa Cabrera Museum..
Shopping: There are many attractive handicrafts in Cusco, such as alpaca wool sweaters, alpaca and llama carpets, masks, silver and gold jewelry, colorful textiles:

- San Blas, Art Market: the neighbourhood of San Blas Hours: Mon. 9 a.m. – 6:00 pm
- Pisaq Market: District of Pisaq Opening hours: Sun, Tuesday, and Thursday… 08 a.m. – 6:00 pm
- Chincheros Market: Chincheros District. Opening hours: Sun, Tuesday, and Thursday… 08 a.m. – 6:00 pm.

BOLETO TURÍSTICO GENERAL / FULL CUSCO TOURIST TICKET
This is the standard and most expensive ticket.
What is included : All the areas indicated on the ticket and mentioned by us.
Price | S/. 130 / £30 / $38 / €33 for non-Peruvian adults. S/. 70 / £16 / $21 / €18 for non-Peruvian students (see below for more information).
Time : The tourist ticket expires 10 days without being used after its purchase, it will expire immediately if you use it in the indicated places.
Tip: The entrance to the Qoricancha temple is only for the outdoor gardens, you will have to buy an additional ticket to be able to enter the museum and the interior of the Inca temple.
BOLETO TURISTICO PARCIAL / PARTICAL CUSCO TOURIST TICKET
The partial tourist ticket is the ideal option for those on a tighter budget, or who only wish to visit a handful of specific sites.
There are three different Circuits available:
Circuito 1
- Included The ruins which lie just outside Cusco: Saqsayhuamán, Q’enqo, Puka pukara, Tambomacha. These are best option for a day trip.
- Price | S/. 70 / £16 / $21 / €18 for non-Peruvian adults
- Valid for 1 day only.
Circuito 2
- Site to visit: The Cusco Museums: Contemporary Art, Museo Historical Regional, Monumento Pachacuteq, Tipon, Quoricancha, Museo de Arte Popular, Centro Quosqo de Arte Nativo. Pikillaqta.
- We imagine that this is the least purchased Cusco tourist ticket because a number of these museums ain’t great.
- Price | S/. 70 / £16 / $21 / €18 for non-Peruvian adults
- Valid for 2 days.
Circuito 3
- Sites to visit: The Sacred Valley Ruins: Pisac, Ollantaytambo, Chinchero, Moray.
- Price | S/. 70 / £16 / $21 / €18 for non-Peruvian adults
- Valid for 2 days. This is a good option for a stand-alone ticket, but with it being valid for two days, it’s actually a bit of a challenge to visit all of these sites in two days at an enjoyable pace – although it is absolutely possible with a combination of taxis, public transport, and walking. On our second visit to Cusco, this is what we went for.
- On the full boleto turistico, students can get a 50% discount – making the ticket just S/. 70 / £16 / $21 / €18. to get this offer to be 25 yo or under, and need to bring your original student or ISIC card and passport. Children are also charged at a discounted price.
- Tickets will be required at the checkpoint for each site. you don’t lose it as we’ve heard that no replacements are issued and this is a strictly adhered to.
HOW & WHERE TO BUY THE BOLETO TURISTICO IN CUSCO?
The tourist ticket can be purchased at most of the sites included in the tourist ticket, but it is best to go directly to the COSITUC office at 103 El Sol Avenue in Cusco (hours are from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and before 2 p.m. on Saturdays) to buy directly. Identification is required (although you may not be asked for it) and you must pay in cash in Peruvian soles.
If you buy the train ticket, your name will be on it to be valid the same day of purchase, if you buy a partial ticket as they are valid for a very short time. You will have to present your identity document in different places where the tourist ticket is valid.
Please note that it is not possible to buy a Cusco Tourist Ticket online or in advance.
